The Hampton Bays Public Library opened its new Low Vision Center last Thursday, March 26, with the help of $7,500 in grants provided by three organizations.

Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White has awarded FY2009 Live and Learn Construction Grants to 17 Illinois public libraries to help pay for essential capital improvements. The Benton Public Library District will receive $16,600 for lighting and the installation of security surveillance equipment.

ROXBURY TWP. – The township’s public library has gained $1,900 in Morris County Heritage Commission grants for the preservation of photographic materials.

CRANBURY — The Cranbury Public Library Board of Trustees passed a resolution Feb. 13 that will allow a transfer of $18,000 of the library’s dedicated funding to the municipality.
