Library solar panel contract awarded (Worcester Telegram & Gazette)

DUDLEY – At the recommendation of Dudley Library Building Committee Co-Chairmen Robert Gryzb and Anne-Marie Safaee, the Board of Selectmen awarded a $76,776 contract install solar panels to Fall River Electrical Associates Co. of Fall River. The panels will be installed on the new Pearl L. Crawford Memorial Library.

PRINCETON: DVD kiosk is popular at library (The Princeton Packet)

Princeton Public Library patrons have been taking full advantage of a new Redbox DVD kiosk since its installation in July, according to library Director Leslie Burger, who reported on the kioskâs success to the library board Tuesday night.

Supervisors restore funding to library (The Picayune Item)

Supervisors on Monday restored the funding to the county library system and to the SPCA-operated Picayune Animal Shelter they had cut, but it will be done on a month-by-month basis until the supervisors thoroughly review and then amend their new 2009-’10 budget.

Library seeks funds for $3 million construction plan (Glen Ellyn News Leader)

With a leaky roof and mold problems, the Glen Ellyn Public Library is looking to village officials and residents to fund a multi-million dollar renovation. Trustees are hoping to borrow $3 million to pay for a range of exterior and interior repairs, mostly related to the building’s roof. They also are hoping a proposed 3-cent property tax increase will pay for any capital projects in the future.
