Niangua library board reviews fundraising, building plans (The Marshfield Mail)

Fundraising plans were among the items discussed at a recent luncheon meeting of the Vivian Stuber Memorial Library. In the absence of Chairwoman Mary Lee Peck, co-chairman Minnie Woodworth called the meeting to order and proceeded to review items that had been discussed at the last board meeting.

LVEF Launches New Fundraising Campaign (The Livermore Independent)

The Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF), in partnership with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, has launched its 2010 fundraising campaign: “Straight A’s for Livermore Students: Academics, Arts, and Athletics.” The goal of the campaign is to raise $300,000 this spring.

Bob Eschliman, Editor A letter widely circulated throughout DeSoto a few weeks ago called on the City Council to reconsider a 39-percent cut in funding for the community’s public library. But, as mayor Josh Chapman points out, the letter also misrepresents the facts in the matter.
